ABU DHABI (UAESA PR) — Following mutual discussions in France and the UAE, the UAE Space Agency and the Centre National d’EtudesSpatiales, (the National Centre of Space Studies of France) also known as CNES, today has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a strategic space partnership between the two entities.
Signed by HE Khalifa Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the UAE Space Agency and Jean-Yves Le Gall, President of CNES, the MoU allows for extensive future cooperation activities in the field of space between the UAE and France. It also covers partnerships in scientific missions and outreach efforts.
WASHINGTON (State Department PR) — Officials from several departments and agencies of the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates Space Agency met in Washington, D.C., during the week of March 16-20, 2015, to review a broad list of potential areas of space cooperation.
ABU DHABI, UAE (UAE Space Agency PR) — A high level delegation led by HE Dr Khalifa Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the UAE Space Agency board and the agency’s Director General, HE Dr Mohammad Nasser Al Ahbabi visited key stakeholders within the space sector in several European countries. The meetings aimed to strengthen the framework of cooperation and partnership between the UAE Space Agency and important stakeholders across Europe.
The Chairman, Director General and delegation discussed opportunities of cooperation with various institutions working in the sector, in order to exchange knowledge and experience in space technology and science. This is in line with the UAE government’s vision to build a solid scientific base for developing the UAE space industry.
