KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL. (CASIS PR) – The SpaceX Falcon 9 vehicle is slated to launch its 11thcargo resupply mission (CRS-11) to the International Space Station (ISS) no earlier than June 1, 2017 from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A. Onboard the Falcon 9 launch vehicle is the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, which will carry more than 40 ISS U.S. National Laboratory sponsored experiments.
This mission will showcase the breadth of research possible through the ISS National Laboratory, as experiments range from the life and physical sciences, Earth observation and remote sensing, and a variety of student-led investigations.
AEROJET/TELEDYNE PR — THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. and Sacramento, Calif., June 2, 2011 — Teledyne Technologies Incorporated announced today that its subsidiary, Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE), in Huntsville, Ala., has signed a letter of agreement to form a strategic alliance with Aerojet – General Corporation, a GenCorp company, to manufacture and assemble liquid rocket engines.
The agreement states that Teledyne Brown and Aerojet will cooperatively develop, manufacture and market liquid propellant rocket engines for customers such as NASA and other aerospace companies.

(OPI) successfully demonstrated the Lunar Lander Test Bed (LLTB) today, capping the delivery of this unique hardware to the Von Braun Center for Science and Innovation (VCSI). The LLTB was presented, complete with rocket engine firings, at the dedication of TBEâ€™s Space Systems Manufacturing Center. The LLTB will be used to demonstrate and mature technologies required for future NASA robotic space exploration.

Orion Propulsion, teamed with Teledyne Brown, was awarded the contract to develop a Lunar Lander with an integrated propulsion system. OPI will be developing the propulsion system at the facility on Commerce Circle. Teledyne Brown will be building the demonstrator at their Sparkman Drive facility.
Rolling out Ares thrusters

Teledyne Brown Engineering on Friday rolled out the first piece of Huntsville-made hardware – a set of roll stability thrusters – for NASA’s Ares I-X test rocket.
Managed by Marshall Space Flight Center, the $24 million Ares I-X Roll Control System Module was released to NASA for shipment to Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The thruster unit will keep the Ares I-X test rocket stable and set it on the proper path during launch.
Aerojet and Boeing have signed an associate contractor’s agreement to build the upper stage of the Ares rocket for NASA’s Orion lunar program. The contract also involves four other companies: Hamilton Sundstrand, Jacobs Engineering Group, Moog Inc., and Teledyne Brown Engineering. Aerojet, a division of GenCorp, is based in Rancho Cordova, Calif.
