Mojave Experimental Fly-in Begins Today

Mojave_Air_and_Space_Port_logoThe 4th Annual Mojave Experimental Fly-in begins today and runs until Sunday. The flight line will be filled with all measures of aircraft, and there will be various events and activities.  A summary of the schedule is below. To learn more, go to http://www.mojaveflyin.com/

If you can make it, this is a fun activity. It’s like the regular Plane Crazy Saturday on steroids. Normally there are only a handful of aircraft put out on the ramp by owners who are dodges taxes on their property by displaying them once a month.  This month, the whole ramp will be filled up.

I’m sorry I didn’t get around to writing about this sooner; it’s been a long and exasperating week.

Virgin Galactic to Take Resumes at Mojave Plane Crazy Saturday

VG_TSC_wk2_logos

Ever wanted to build a spaceship or work for a spaceline?

Here’s your chance. Representatives will be taking resumes for both Virgin Galactic and the Spaceship Company during the monthly Plane Crazy Saturday event at the Mojave Air and Space Port on April 20. The free open house runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Spaceship Company is beginning to ramp up production of WhiteKnightTwo and SpaceShipTwo vehicles in preparation for the start of space tourism. This would be a great chance to talk to representatives and see if you’ve got the right stuff.

Plane Crazy Saturday will also feature the Mojave Experimental Aircraft Fly-in. Several hundred aircraft are expected to be out on the tarmac, including experimental aircraft, air racers, home builts, prototypes and ex-military fighters. Aircraft buffs won’t want to miss this event.

The Mariah Country Inn and Best Western Desert Winds hotels are offering special discounts for those flying in for the event. Just mention Plane Crazy or Mojave Fly-In to save money.

For more information about the fly-in, visit http://www.mojaveflyin.com/
