Patrick joins Seraphim as a Venture Partner following a long and distinguished career in the space, communication and transport sector, He worked for two decades in the senior team driving the expansion of the Virgin Group and as the Chair of Virgin Orbit and Virgin Galactic. His achievements include financing the development of Virgin Galactic and Virgin Orbit, culminating in the flotations of both companies. He also played a key role in agreeing the launch agreement for Virgin Orbit from the Spaceport in Cornwall later this year.

(“Arqit”) from the Seraphim Space LP ( ” Seraphim Space Fund “) .
As set out in the IPO prospectus, Seraphim Space will acquire four assets from the Seraphim Space Fund for newly issued ordinary shares in the Company. This acquisition represents the second of those transactions to complete.

The business has a unique quantum encryption Platform-as-a-Service which makes the communications links of any networked device secure against current and future forms of attack – even from a quantum computer. Wörner has held a long and distinguished career in the Space sector. He served as the Director General of the European Space Agency (ESA), the highest-ranking official of the ESA, for over five years between 2015 to 2021 and served as Chairman of the ESA Council from 2012 to 2014. Wörner led an ambitious technology strategy for Europe to strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive global market. He championed leveraging commercial technologies to build lower cost and higher performance satellites for communications, earth observation, navigation and science at ESA.
