Whitesides Appearance on John Batchelor Show Now Online

The John Batchelor Show
The John Batchelor Show

Virgin Galactic CEO George Whitesides was on the Hotel Mars segment of the John Batchelor Show last night, which was co-hosted by David Livingston of “The Space Show.”  The segment is now archived for your listening pleasure:

George’s answers speak for themselves. Feel free to debate them below.

The appearance came a week after I had appeared on the Batchelor Show to express concerns over SpaceShipTwo’s upcoming flight test program, among other things. You can listen to that appearance here:

http://www.thespaceshow.com/detail.asp?q=2261

I also was on The Space Show on Monday, where David and I discussed Virgin Galactic and a number of other topics:

The Space Show has a blog where you can make comments on my appearance there this week:

I had a great discussion with John and David Livingston about the current status of the engine for Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo and the likely path of the flight test program for later this year.

I want to thank John for having me on the show, and David for suggesting that I be the guest. I really enjoyed it.

UPDATE: My appearance on the show is now archived for listening: http://archived.thespaceshow.com/shows/2200-BWB-2014-02-26.mp3

I will be a guest on The John Batchelor Show this evening on a segment called Hotel Mars from 9:30 – 9:45 p.m. EST (6:30 – 6:45 p.m. PST).

I’ll be talking with John and David Livingston, host of The Space Show, about Sir Richard Branson’s claims that he and his family will be flying into space by the end of this year. We’ll discuss whether SpaceShipTwo will be ready by then, and whether they can actually get all the way to space in it.

Unlike The Space Show, Hotel Mars doesn’t include audience call-in. Visit The John Batchelor Show for information about how to tune in live. If you miss it tonight, David will archive the segment on The Space Show website.
