EarthDaily Analytics unveils plan to launch a new ground-breaking constellation in 2023

VANCOUVER, BC, July 20, 2021 (EarthDaily Analytics PR) — EarthDaily Analytics Corp., a vertically-integrated data processing and analytics company, today announces the timeline for the launch of the company’s new constellation of earth observing satellites. The EarthDaily satellite constellation will significantly enhance geospatial analytics capabilities in agriculture, forestry, environment, financial services, and defense and intelligence, among many other verticals.  

Construction of the new generation of satellites will begin in July 2021, with launches scheduled in 2023. The new satellites will collect scientific-grade imagery of the planet in a unique combination of 21 spectral bands, many of which will be 5-meter resolution. The constellation will have an expected lifespan of over 10 years.

CACI Awarded $373 Million Contract to Provide Geospatial Intelligence Expertise to U.S. Special Operations Command

RESTON, Va. (CACI International PR) — CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) announced today that it was awarded an eight year, single-award contract, with a ceiling value of $373 million, to provide geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) analysis expertise to U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

Under the contract, seasoned CACI intelligence experts will provide mission expertise, including full-lifecycle geospatial intelligence analytic support. Additionally, CACI system engineers will help maintain and evolve SOCOM’s intelligence information technology infrastructure.

Full lifecycle GEOINT expertise, a unique offering provided by CACI, will apply to all phases of processing intelligence, including the immediate reporting, corroboration, and contextualization of data. Meanwhile, CACI will update and maintain SOCOM’s geospatial architecture infrastructure and tools to ensure intelligence data is correctly and efficiently distributed to analysts.

BlackSky Increases Capacity as Latest Satellite Enters Commercial Operations

HERNDON, Va., April 19, 2021 (BlackSky PR) – BlackSky, a leading provider of real-time geospatial intelligence and global monitoring services that recently announced a planned business combination with Osprey Technology Acquisition Corp. (NYSE: SFTW), today shared that its BlackSky 7 satellite completed the commissioning process and entered full commercial operations within two weeks of launch.

This latest satellite was launched at 22:30 UTC on March 22, 2021, delivered first insights and began limited commercial operations less than 24 hours later. Further, the company today revealed two additional BlackSky satellites have been shipped to a launch facility in New Zealand for its next planned launch mission with Rocket Lab named “Running out of Toes” scheduled for May 2021.

HawkEye 360 Secures $55 Million Series C Funding Round

National Geospatial Intelligence Agency Selects 8 Startup Companies for Corporate Accelerator Program

ST. LOUIS, APRIL 01, 2021 (NGA PR) — The NGA Accelerator Powered by Capital Innovators recently selected eight companies from more than 350 applicants to participate in the March 23 launch of the inaugural cohort of its geospatial corporate accelerator program based in St. Louis. The NGA Accelerator is managed through a Partnership Intermediary Agreement between the Missouri Technology Corporation, NGA and Capital Innovators.

The 13-week program sources technology from startups to help solve geospatial challenges that focus on government and industry opportunities in four core areas: data management, advanced analytics and modeling, data integrity and security, and artificial intelligence.

Each company will receive a $100,000 non-dilutive grant and will receive mentoring and coaching from subject matter experts from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and Capital Innovators. The COVID-19 pandemic requires the initial cohort to be conducted virtually, but future cohorts are planned to be held in person at the accelerator.

BlackSky Goes SPAC: to List on New York Stock Exchange After Merger with Osprey Technology Acquisition Corp.

  • BlackSky Holdings, Inc., a leading real-time geospatial intelligence, imagery, and data analytics company has entered into a business combination agreement with Osprey Technology Acquisition Corp. (NYSE:SFTW); the newly combined company is expected to be listed on the NYSE under the new ticker symbol “BKSY.”
  • The business combination agreement is expected to provide approximately $450 million of net proceeds to the combined company, assuming no redemptions, to fund expected future growth, including a fully committed $180 million common stock PIPE with participation from leading institutional investors including Tiger Global Management, Mithril Capital (co-founded by Ajay Royan and Peter Thiel), Hedosophia, and Senator Investment Group. Additionally, Osprey’s sponsor and its affiliates are investing over $20 million in the PIPE.
  • Pro forma equity value of the merger is expected to be nearly $1.5 billion at the $10.00 per share PIPE price.

Rocket Lab Successfully Launches Rideshare Mission for Spaceflight

Rocket Lab’s Electron booster successfully launched the “Make it Rain” rideshare mission for Seattle-based Spaceflight from New Zealand’s Mahia Peninsula on Saturday.

The mission lofted seven satellites, including: BlackSky’s Global-3 imaging microsat; two U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Prometheus reconnaissance CubeSats; two Swarm SpaceBEE satellites; Melbourne Space Program’s ACRUX-1 CubeSat; and one spacecraft from an undisclosed customer. The payloads weighed 80 kg (176.4 lb).

The BlackSky Global-3 imaging satellite was developed, designed and manufactured by BlackSky of the United States. The company is a provider of geospatial intelligence, satellite imaging and global monitoring services.

It was the sixth successful Electron launch in a row out of seven attempts and the third flight of 2019.  Rocket Lab has now orbited 35 satellites on its six successful missions.

The mission’s name was drawn from the high volume of rainfall in Seattle where Spaceflight is headquartered and at the Mahia Peninsula where Electron from which Electron is launched.











Kleos Signs MoU with ImageSat International, a Global Leader in Geospatial Intelligence

LUXEMBOURG, 2 April 2019 (Kleos Space PR) — Kleos Space S.A (ASX: KSS, Frankfurt: KS1), space-powered Radio Frequency Reconnaissance data provider, has signed a collaborative, non-binding, Memorandum of Understanding with leading Israeli based end-to-end geospatial intelligence company ImageSat International N.V. (iSi) to explore opportunities to use Kleos’ maritime RF activity-based satellite data to enhance geospatial intelligence analytics.

Under the MoU, the companies will develop a value-add proposition for current and future iSi maritime customers using Kleos’ geolocation data. The MoU also covers the development of a methodology to reduce collection to dissemination latency.
