DigitalGlobe Announces Successful Refinancing

DigitalGlobe_logoWESTMINSTER, Colo.(DigitalGlobe PR) — DigitalGlobe, Inc. (DGI) today announced the completion of its new senior secured credit facility that reduces the interest rate and extends maturities on the company’s debt, with a new seven-year $1.275 billion senior secured credit facility and a new five-year $200 million revolving credit facility. The new term loan matures January 2024 and bears interest according to a leveraged-based pricing grid, initially set at LIBOR plus 275 basis points, with a 75 bps LIBOR floor. The revolving credit facility matures January 2022 and will be undrawn at closing.

WESTMINSTER, Colo., Oct. 10, 2016 (DigitalGlobe PR) — DigitalGlobe, Inc. (NYSE: DGI), the global leader in earth imagery and information about our changing planet, today announced the WorldView-4 satellite launch has been delayed due to ongoing efforts to restore and test infrastructure at Vandenberg Air Force Base following last month’s wildfires. DigitalGlobe is working closely with the U.S. Air Force and United Launch Alliance to identify a new launch date, targeting late October or early November.

The WorldView-4 satellite is safe and secure atop its Atlas V launch vehicle. The company continues to expect WorldView-4 to begin generating revenue in the first half of 2017.

DigitalGlobe’s Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery Program Renewed

For a sixth consecutive year, beginning September 1, 2016, DigitalGlobe is delivering online, on-demand access to global high-resolution commercial satellite imagery under the program. Users can access mission-ready satellite imagery in multiple classification levels via web browser or mobile device, typically within two to four hours after downlink. Hundreds of thousands of U.S. Government users leverage Global EGD imagery, whether directly or through U.S. Government mobile devices and web portals. The imagery service provides essential mission planning data to warfighters, the intelligence community, and other U.S. Government users.

Orbital Insight Announces $20 Million Investment

Smith, Babin Question NOAA Delay on DigitalGlobe License

DigitalGlobe_logoWASHINGTON (House Science Committee PR) — Science, Space, and Technology Committee Chairman Lamar Smith and Space Subcommittee Chairman Brian Babin (R-Texas) today sent a letter to U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Pritzker on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) lack of decision on granting DigitalGlobe a license to operate a space-based remote sensing system.

The Land Remote Sensing Policy Act of 1992 requires Secretary Pritzker to review and make a determination on any space-based remote sensing system license applications or inform the applicant of any pending issues.

DigitalGlobe Partners With TAQNIA, KACST for Smallsat Imaging Constellation

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (DigitalGlobe PR) — DigitalGlobe, Inc. (NYSE: DGI), the global leader in earth imagery and information about our changing planet, today announced the formation of a joint venture with TAQNIA, a firm dedicated to accelerating technology development for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with KACST to develop a constellation of highly capable small imaging satellites to support the needs of customers around the world.

DigitalGlobe and TAQNIA and KACST signed an agreement on February 21, 2016, to form a joint venture that will be responsible for developing six or more sub-meter resolution imaging satellites. The small satellites are expected to be capable of collecting imagery with anticipated 80 cm resolution and will leverage DigitalGlobe’s industry-leading ground infrastructure.
