TITUSVILLE, Fla. (4Frontiers PR) — NewSpace Center, LLC, a 4Frontiers Corporation subsidiary, launched an initial private placement offering today that is intended to finance the first phase of INTERSPACE Florida, a real science interactive space themed destination located on a 75 acre master planned and zoned spaceport territory site eight miles from Kennedy Space Center at the Titusville Cocoa Airport (TICO).
4Frontiers Corporation, a NewSpace technology, entertainment & education company, is pleased to announce that it is spearheading this summer’s expedition to the Mars Society’s Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS) on Devon Island in the Canadian Arctic.
The Omega Envoy Project, the “Florida Team” competing in the Google Lunar X PRIZE, and the only student formed and led team, announced during the International Space Development Conference (ISDC) a significant milestone in their progress towards the moon: a realistic demonstration of core rover technologies.
In collaboration with 4Frontiers Corporation and the National Space Society, the team is sending their rover prototype to the Mars Society’s Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS) on Devon Island for the month of July 2009.
A small, forward-looking company has offered to share the wealth of Mars with Titusville.
4Frontiers Corp. is asking the Titusville City Council to allow more than $745,000 in tax breaks to help the company attract investors and set up a shop where it would provide Earth-bound folks with a taste of the Martian experience.
“We consider ourselves the world authority on Mars settlements,” said Mark Homnick, a 50-year-old former mechanical engineer, who graduated from Penn State in 1980 and works out of his New Port Richey home.
