This picture above is of the Endurance, the ship that famed explorer Ernest Shackleton took on an ill-fated expedition to Antarctica in 1914. Although the expedition failed in its attempt to cross the continent on foot from sea to sea, it was a successful failure because all the men made it back alive after the Endurance was crushed by sea ice.
NASA has identified Shackleton crater, which is named after the explorer, as the potential location of a future crewed moon base. The crater has peaks that are in near constant sunlight and a floor that is believed to contain ice that could sustain astronauts and be processed into fuel.
Perhaps Bezos will announce an expedition to the crater. Or maybe something else. Whatever it is, it should be interesting.
