House Gets New Space Subcommittee Chair, Knight Vice-Chair of Energy Subcommittee

WASHINGTON, DC (House Science Committee PR) — Science, Space, and Technology Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) today announced Representative Brian Babin (R-Texas) will serve as Chairman of the Space Subcommittee and Representative Steve Knight (R-Calif.) will serve as Vice-Chairman of the Energy Subcommittee.

I am pleased to welcome Representative Babin as Chairman of the Space Subcommittee and Representative Steve Knight as Vice-Chairman of the Energy Subcommittee. CSF Welcomes New Space Subcommittee Chairman

WASHINGTON, DC (CSF PR) – Today the House Science, Space, & Technology Committee appointed Congressman Brian Babin (R-TX) as chair of the Subcommittee on Space. The Subcommittee on Space has legislative jurisdiction and general oversight and investigative authority on all matters relating to NASA, and commercial space activities relating to the Department of Transportation and the Department of Commerce. Congressman Babin represents Texas’s 36th Congressional District, which includes NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC).
