Mojave Transportation Museum Foundation is holding its annual Plane Crazy Saturday II event at the California City Municipal Airport from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is in additional to the regular Plane Crazy Saturday scheduled for Oct. 18 at the Mojave Air and Space Port.
The free open house will include hot-air balloon rides at daybreak, flight demonstrations by the California City RC Model Aircraft Club; and book signings by Barbara Schultz, author of books about Amelia Earhart and Pancho Barnes.
A representative of XCOR Aerospace will give a talk about the Lynx suborbital space plane at 11 a.m. in Foxy’s Restaurant on the California City airport.
