Space Florida shares a Board of Directors with Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI), a public-private partnership dedicated to statewide economic development.

Brian Lamb replaces former Board Member Bill Dymond, president, CEO and partner at Orlando-based law firm Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed. Mr. Dymond fulfilled his three-year statutory term. Space Florida thanks him for his service as vice chair during 2013.

“Brian has tremendous insight into Florida’s financial markets and understands what is necessary to make Florida a global destination for new business,” said House Speaker Will Weatherford.  “He has proven himself as a leader in the private sector and it is through this experience that I know he will do a great job as a member of the Space Florida Board of Directors.”

“Mr. Lamb’s financial expertise in the commercial marketplace is well-suited to Space Florida’s continued pursuit of commercial space and aerospace industry growth in Florida,” said Space Florida President Frank DiBello. “We are pleased to welcome him to our Board.”

Lamb is the president and CEO for the Tampa Bay region of Fifth Third Bank, which includes over $2.7 billion in deposits, 48 banking centers, 51,000 consumer and business households and over 350 employees.  He joined Fifth Third Bank in 2006 after serving as the chief financial officer for Home Discovery Real Estate Services Corporation and was previously with TECO energy.  Brian was born in the Tallahassee area, where his parents Eugene and Deloris still reside. He earned a degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate Banking School at the University of Pennsylvania.  Lamb and his wife Paulette reside in Valrico.
