BOULDER, CO, March 5, 2013 (GS PR) – Golden Spike —the world’s first company planning to sell human lunar expeditions to countries and corporations around the world announced today that it has added film and documentary producer, director, and writer, Dr. Duncan Copp, from the United Kingdom, to its distinguished Board of Advisors.
Copp, who also holds a PhD in Planetary Geology, produced the highly acclaimed feature documentary, In the Shadow of the Moon. Copp has produced and directed numerous award-winning films for National Geographic, PBS, the BBC, and the Discovery Channel. He adds important, international expertise and depth to Golden Spike’s media advisory team.
“I want to publicly welcome Duncan to Golden Spike. I can’t begin to say how important his addition is to our ambition of creating new kinds of media engagement around our lunar expeditions,” said Golden Spike’s CEO Dr. Alan Stern.

Golden Spike recently launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, allowing for the public to directly contribute to the development of its historic human lunar expeditions. This 70-day campaign is aiming to raise $240,000 – representing every mile from Earth to the Moon. Copp will be advising the Golden Spike throughout this campaign and in other activities soon to be announced.
