Parabolic Arc

I’m not clear what the big deal is here. If they launch 500 lbs for the reported $10 million, that’s $20,000/lb. Which is comparable to Pegasus, and more expensive than Falcon 1e ($10.9 mil for up to 2200 lbs). Unless they end up charging way under 10 mil, since the aircraft was already developed. I’m even more skeptical of Paul Allen’s scheme to replace the Falcon 9 first stage with a newly developed twin 747 launcher; there’s no way that’ll be cheaper than the already developed (and potentially also recoverable) existing first stage.
