Virgin Galactic CEO George Whitesides talks to MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan about Virgin Galactic’s space tourism plans. Ratigan’s basic question was: When? Whitesides answer was: vague.
“The only question I have for him is, ‘When do we blast off, sir?'”…
“Well, it’s going to be sooner than you think. I think, we don’t give a specific date because, you know, we want to make sure that the experience is safe, and we’re going to, you know, do the test flight program as long as it takes to make sure everything is safe. You know, Richard Branson is going to be on the first commercial flight, so you can be sure that it’s going to be very safe.”
“In a word: years, months or decades?”
“I think a small number of years is the answer.”
