Cutting funding for Space Florida is short-sighted as this will reduce its ability to bring new high-tech research, education, and industry to Brevard. The position of Mike Haridopolos, according to his staff, is that it's more important to cut taxes even more. This may get him a few votes but compromises our future. Look carefully at the number of commercial satelites launched from Brevard in 2007. None. Zero. One in 2008. We need to invest in the future. Instead Sen. Haridopolos is telling us to got to the mall. Will our kids be rocket scientists or burger flippers? You can decide this November.
