The Space Review’s Jeff Foust has some thoughts about whether there’s a new space race between the United States and China.
“While some people continue to wave a red flag (so to speak) about Chinese intentions in space, others argue that the real problem is not lunar exploration plans or ASAT weapons but rather a fundamental lack of understanding—on both sides of the Pacific,” Foust writes.
Doug,
Awesome letterhead on the blog. Pretty cool color scheme. But, um, illegible text. Why don’t you sample some of the bright firey orange/yellow from the lower left corner of your masthead for text, huh? That’ll stand out nice from the black background and make a nice contrast with the darker red of the post titles.
Speaking of misommunication, your color palette is headachingly painful. Gray text on black? Arrrgh, I’ll go to some other site rather than try to ruin my vision here, or mess with my browser settings to override your colors.
I don’t know about anything you actually wrote, I ran out of patience trying to read it.
Hey guys.
Thanks for the comments. Sorry about the problem you’re having reading this. The site is still in beta and we’ve got a designer who is working on a better template. We’re working on it.
How hard is it, for now, to just replace all occurrences of #444 in your style sheet with #FFF?
But really, light lettering on dark background, even if there is a decent amount of contrast, is really hard on the eyes.
Hi Rand.
Thanks for your comments.
You are absolutely right. It is an easy thing to change the template. This should be better and easier to read until we get something more permanent in place.
